Made a reservation for a Saturday night at 6 and it wasn't that busy. We were seated after a few minutes. Our server told us his favorites from the menu from all courses and cocktails. I got the sicilian heatwave drink and it was good. We started with the fritto misto and warm focaccia. For entrees we got the jumbo shrimp parmigiana (adding noodles is extra), calabrian reginette alfredo, and penne alla rosa. All of the food was absolutely delicious. Excellent service, ambiance, and food!
First of all, the ambiance was super chill. The wait staff was prompt and eager to meet me and my wife's needs. The cocktails were expensive but worth it. I ordered the chicken parmesan which was juicy and included fresh mozzarella cheese. We made a reservation to eat here after going to Ka-Cirque du Soleil. I will come back to this restaurant when i visit Vegas again.
OK.. I was little scared to try this place because of such mixed reviews. But I didn't feel like driving anywhere so I decided to give this place a try. Nice decor, staffs were very friendly and pretty busy for Tuesday night. Ordered caesar salad and fritto misto for starter. Caesar salad was pretty good, nothing out of the ordinary but the garlic crouton was pretty darn yummy. Light flaky crispy and garlicy.. Yum. Fritto misto.. Wow... The price seemed high but when it came to the table.. Wow.. It was huge... Calamari which could have been little bit more crispier on the batter but calamari was very tasty and tender. Also had 4 huge shrimps which was sooo juicy and tender also. Plate also had fried peppers and hidden surprise of sliced lemon, which was pretty dang amazing.. Then all that is topped off with shredded zucchini which was sooo freaking yummy. The portion was big enough to share with 4 people.. Because we couldn't finish . Now for main dish, I was eying on that 1.5 lbs lobster pasta dish but price was steep. But I said meh I will give it a try. Wife was going to order different pasta dish and waiter Michael said no I would not recommend it because you won't finish the first dish.. I said I eat a lot and he said many tried and many failed so we just ordered one dish. Oh man was it huge.. It was way bigger than what I saw on the pictures... Scallop was nice and tender, clams were also tasty, mussel.. Oh man. Last time I had mussel this fresh and melt in your mouth was in Naples Italy. Lobster was also very flavorful and cooked perfect. Calamari was also pretty tasty. Linguini was cooked perfect al dente but little bit less than what I've had in Italy which was fine. Over all the flavor was good, nice seafood flavor on the marinara sauce. Not so diablo spice but enough to taste the difference. Michael the waiter was so awesome.. He asked me out of random if we are celebrating birthday and I said belated birthday for me. We'll he surprised me with huge ice cream on the house. Ice cream was very yummy. I say it's cross between Gelato and ice cream. Not too sweet and creamy. Over all staff was amazing the waiter Michael was amazing and food was also awesome. I would definitely come back here again. Oh and I never did finish the pasta dish.. I say it is easily shared with 3 people at least.
Look we came here and wasn't expecting too much. Then I was recommended the Sicilian heatwave by our server, Doug. So once I started on the drink I knew I was in for something good. Restaurant lighting is on the darker side and restrooms are located further outside the restaurant. We ordered the Focaccia for the table. It came with marinara and it was delicious! Savory and topped with Parmesan cheese. Table order: - Short ribs lasagna pinwheels : my dad ate that up! He thought the pinwheels were different but was curious about the short ribs. He usually sticks with what he knows and he went outside the box this time with no regrets! - Chilean sea bass piccata: Mom said it was good! The bass was cooked to perfection. She normally will say something if it's too salty and she didn't say a word so I know she enjoyed it. She ordered it with a side of mushroom, onions, and peppers. She did say the side was a bit salty. - Caesar salad w/shrimp scampi: my hubz didn't tell me what he was going to order. He doesn't eat pork or beef and is SUPER picky with his seafood since he's a fisherman. I tried his food and the scampi was amazing and if you love garlic, this is the dish! Maybe not recommended if you are single and going out after. lol . He could tell the anchovy used in the salad wasn't as fresh because it tasted fishy. Overall a great combination as a meal. - jumbo shrimp parmigiana: everyone looked like I was crazy to order this but I wanted to try something different. The shrimp was great! Breading didn't fall off, seasoned well and fried perfectly. I got the grilled asparagus on the side and it also did not disappoint.
Oooeyy gooeyyy cheesy eggplant parmasian! Luchini satisfied our cheese cravings for sure! However buried under all that cheese had also amazing flavor. Cheese complemented by flavor is a great thing The most notable things we tried was eggplant Parmesan, Fritos misto(friend calamari and zucchini noodles), and the grilled branzino! Located at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino, this is a beautiful spot to try! With a nice selection of menu and loads of cheese to have, this place was spacious, well decorated, and very extensive menu selection! Great attentive service that's hard to match here. GM Kevin was always making rounds making sure restaurant is in tact With the restaurant being the front face, you have to look a little more behind the pizza shop to find the hidden speak easy
I've had this place bookmarked and what better way to experience a new-to-me restaurant other than coming here for dinner during Restaurant Week! Casual Italian spot but the ambiance is nice and sultry. Luchini is located at The District...basically their restaurant row. It's passed the Ka theatre. $50 per person, three course meal prix fixe menu. And they do not, I repeat DO NOT skim you on portions either for their Restaurant Week menu. The first course is your choice of an appetizer. Multiple selections to choose from like Cesar Salad, Saffron and Mozzarella Arancinis, Antipasto or Shrimp Scampi. Of course we went with the shrimp scampi. WOW! The lemon, garlic with the bread crumbs marinated so well together. I would totally order two of these as entrees...it's so good! They give you plenty of shrimps...I lost count after eight. Second course is your main entrée. Again, plenty to choose from like chicken parm, pesto pasta, grilled branzino, pizza and your traditional spaghetti & meatballs. I was trying to decide between the chicken parm or the pesto pasta. Ultimately, went with the chicken parm. The size of this chicken parm covered the entire plate's circumference! This literally will be three dinners for me....insane!!!!! I was surprised it does not come with a side of pasta. Hmm...thought that was interesting. But it's no big deal....not like I didn't have enough to eat anyways lol. Last course was dessert. Choice of NY style cheesecake or nutella pastries balls. We got one of each. I was looking forward to trying their Italian-American cheesecake (the main photo for this Yelp page) because the red and green looked perfect for a photo. But the waiter said they don't do that anymore and it's only the traditional style cheesecake now since many people thought the coloring equals flavors. I would dock off a star because the service was slowwww last night. But the restaurant was packed and it looked like there may be a few big parties plus convention goers in town. All in all, FANTASTIC dinner.
After three coworkers bragged on this place for pizza in the MGM, I decided I'd try it. I had the mushroom pizza and shot honey themed pizza. The mushroom was the best. Both were decent, better than a chain. Neither were stellar though. Other than being one of cheaper places and the walk up connivence, I didn't see the reason for a 5th star. The poor last working the orders, paying, warming, and packaging was still friendly departed being overworked and understaffed.
The service was above and beyond. Meatballs are delicious and so was the calamari. Surprisingly, the appetizers are hearty and plentiful. The pasta portion is a lot smaller, but still just as tasty as the appetizers. We got the penne alla rosa and pesto rigatoni. I was pleasantly surprised by the spicy pasta. It was flavorful and delicious. The spiciness gives it a nice kick. The only downside was the truffle sausage pizza. It was a bit dry. Other than that, the service and ambiance all deserve 5 stars. After $50 resort credit, the bill only came out to be around $94-not bad for two appetizers, two pasta, pizza, and a side of spinach! Our server graciously comp'ed the meatballs.
